Daniel Chimal is a Berlin-based illustrator from Mexico City, making bold, colourful illustration for editorial, commercial and design-focused projects.

His work is shaped by geometric thinking, vibrant colour, and a lasting interest in the relationship between images and objects; a sensibility rooted in his background in architecture. It draws on the folk art and visual energy of Mexico City, where he grew up, and the rigour of Berlin, where his ideas took shape.

Alongside editorial and commercial work, Daniel is currently exploring how his visual language translates beyond the page.
